Who is Micro Solve?

Established in 1983, Micro Solve is a group of professional consultants specializing in Retail Point of Sale and Inventory Management solutions for small to mid-size businesses throughout the fifty states and Canada. Our expertise is focused on the Quilt, Fabric, Sewing, Yarn & Needle Art industries, as well as other specialty retailers such as museum gift stores, boutiques, home decor, furniture, art, music, and more!

How does Micro Solve help?

Our training is provided via phone, email & internet remote access.  Our goal is to coach you through the implementation process and offer personalized training to help you become fully operational on the system.

We also offer ongoing training for customers who wish additional assistance down the road as their business grows.  You can purchase small blocks of time, pre-paid, for phone, email, and remote access training on an as needed basis.

We help you each step of the way, beginning with the data entry/conversion process for your inventory items, customers, and vendors ~ all the way through how to create PO’s, receive merchandise, print barcode labels, ring sales and more.  For new shops it typically takes about 4 – 6 weeks to get up and running, ready to go before you open your doors!  For existing shops it may take a lot longer (several weeks to a few months), depending upon the size of your store and the amount of inventory you have on hand.

Typically most shops have a multi-user POS system for maximum efficiency.  For example, in the 2 user scenario, you would have one POS workstation PC with a receipt printer, cash drawer, and barcode scanner in the main part of the store, and another PC (or laptop) networked in a back area with a barcode printer attached. This offers flexibility where you can work on the computer in the back area running reports, entering web orders, creating PO's, printing barcode labels, etc., while at the same time someone can be ringing sales and entering customer information in the front of the store.

What is the process to get started?

  1. Fill out our needs analysis questionnaire.
  2. Receive and review a proposal with recommendations for your specific needs.
  3. Register for a demo – we will send you an invitation.
  4. We will finalize your proposal and answer your questions.
  5. Once you sign our System Implementation Agreement and choose your payment method, we’ll place your order for the software,hardware, peripherals, supplies, training & support. (Expect to receive your order within 3 to 5 business days).
  6. You’ll receive a Welcome Email from one of our consultants.
  7. Our consultant will go over your implementation plan and schedule a time to get started with data entry and remote access training.
  8. We will walk hand in hand with you through the entire process from start to finish ~ until you are live, up and running on your new POS & Inventory Management System!
