I was sad to read the news that George Whalin died Tuesday, January 10th from complications of chemotherapy.
He had been battling a rare form of cancer.
George has educated and inspired many people in the retail industry and he will be greatly missed.
Here is an excerpt from his last newsletter, January 2012 issue:
“George Whalin spent 25 years as a retailer and 24 years as a retail consultant. He devoted his entire adult life to an industry he loved. Thousands of retailers have benefited from his expertise and willingness to share his knowledge and ideas. We will miss him forever!
Warm regards,
